Jesmond Dene: A Historic Haven of Natural Beauty

A picturesque and historical nature park in the heart of Newcastle – Upon – Tyne, Jesmond Dene is formed from the Ouseburn’s steep-sided, wooded valley which is a peaceful haven for residents, visitors and wildlife alike. Located between Jesmond, Heaton and South Gosforth, the dene is easily accessible via all forms of transport.

The Friends of Jesmond Dene play a vital role in ensuring that the Dene remains a thriving environment for both nature and visitors. Through our efforts, the charity engages in a variety of activities including conservation work, educational programs, community events, and advocacy.
